TDK EPCOS DC-Link Film Capacitor Distributor | MKP Power Capacitors
Genuine TDK EPCOS DC-link MKP film capacitors, 350 V to 1600 V with high energy density and low self-inductance for inverter power stages.
TDK EPCOS DC-Link Film Overview
BeiLuo supplies genuine TDK EPCOS DC-link film capacitors, metallized polypropylene (MKP) parts that stabilise the DC bus of an inverter or converter with high energy density, low self-inductance and high current capability. A DC-link film capacitor handles the high ripple current and the fast dV/dt of a modern power stage, and unlike an electrolytic it does not dry out, so it suits long-life and high-reliability designs. TDK EPCOS's DC-link families include the B25620 MKP DC series in a cylindrical aluminum can with female M6 or male M8 terminals and self-inductance in the low nanohenry range, the compact B32320I cylindrical series for PCB mounting from 450 V to 1300 V, and the B3271 H series rated 500 V to 1600 V with high energy density. Rated voltages span 350 V to 1600 V and beyond, and capacitances from a few microfarads to several hundred microfarads cover motor drives, solar and storage inverters, EV on-board chargers and industrial converters. The low self-inductance of these capacitors helps limit the voltage overshoot of a wide-bandgap power stage and improves the EMC of the converter. Every capacitor BeiLuo ships is factory-traceable and includes an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file. Our FAE team helps you size the DC-link capacitance and current, check the self-inductance and plan the busbar layout.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I read the DC-link film table?
Capacitance and Voltage set the energy storage and the voltage class, Technology confirms the MKP construction, and Case Size gives the mechanical fit. The self-inductance matters as much as the capacitance at high switching speed.
Check the current and the dV/dt rating for your power stage.
When do I choose a film capacitor over an electrolytic?
A DC-link film capacitor handles high ripple and fast dV/dt and does not dry out, so it suits long-life and high-reliability designs and high switching frequencies. An aluminum electrolytic offers more capacitance per unit volume and cost at lower frequency. Many designs use both.
Our FAE team can help partition the DC link.
Why does self-inductance matter?
At high switching speed, the self-inductance of the DC-link capacitor and its busbar sets the voltage overshoot across the switches. A low-inductance capacitor, in the nanohenry range, keeps the overshoot small and helps the EMC of the converter.
Plan the busbar layout with the capacitor.
Are the capacitors genuine and documented?
Every TDK EPCOS capacitor BeiLuo ships is factory-traceable and includes an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file. Mainstream models are held in regional warehouses.
